Ok, so this Canadian-built workhorse of the British army was given an interesting feature for service in the African desert – a front windscreen that leaned inwards.
This was a deliberate feature to prevent the sun glinting off the windscreen and thus alerting enemy troops to the vehicle’s existance.
My question is – was this innovation ever copied in other service vehicles (either in or after WW2), and if not, why not?
