A couple of photos for your pleasure. The N-3PB wasn’t the greatest patrol bomber of WWII, but it sure was the best looking. It has something of the same symbolic flair in Norway the Spitfire has in the UK, probably because it was only used by a Norwegian manned squadron, originally ordered by the Norwegian Navy, but delivered too late for Norwegian service and placed under the control of Coastal Command, operating from Iceland. A rare bird, this is the only one left.
